The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce is seeking dedicated and passionate leaders to serve on our Board of Directors. As a valued member of our Board of Directors, you will help shape the future of our business community by setting policy, guiding strategic goals, and ensuring the Chamber remains a strong advocate for local businesses.

Board Member Duties & Expectations

• Serve a two-year term and attend bi-monthly Board meetings (third Wednesday every other month at 11:30 a.m.). Terms for this application will end on December 31, 2028.
• Actively participate in Chamber programs, events, and strategic planning.
• Advocate for Chamber membership and assist with member retention.
• Help secure resources and funding for Chamber initiatives.
• Abide by the Chamber’s bylaws, policies, and ethical standards.
• Maintain consistent attendance—missing three or more consecutive meetings may result in removal from the Board.

Qualifications

We welcome applications from community-minded individuals who:

• Are active Chamber members (in good standing) and 18 years of age or older.
• Have demonstrated involvement in Chamber or community activities.
• Can commit the time and energy to actively participate and lead (5-10 hours monthly).
