Q. What does your business do or provide to the community?
Nothing Bundt Cakes is a franchise that specializes in all type of celebrations by Bringing the Joy with the best cake you will ever taste, share and give.
Q. What inspired you to start your business or enter your field?
I stepped out of the corporate world in 2013. Since my son was diagnosed with Autism in 2006 I was in pursuit of looking for a platform that would allow us to teach him the soft skills he needed to be able to function in society, and where we can prove kids with special needs have a place in society. It became a platform not only for my son but for both of my kids, teaching them the value of professionalism, determination, resilience, and that hard work pays off. Knowing this brand in 2011 gave me the idea that being a franchisee of a new brand in GA would give us the opportunity to provide that platform. It has been 14 years since we opened our first location, and it has been an amazing journey, not only for me but for the whole family.
Q. What is your favorite part about being a woman in business in Brookhaven and surrounding areas?
My favorite part is being part of the community. When I was in the corporate world I really did not experience that. Once I stepped out to be an entrepreneur, I started to get to know the community around me, identify their value, their needs, and how I could help, one cake at a time.
